New survey: Complete our short survey to share your voice
Charlottesville United for Public Education wants community feedback on our city's schools so we can best advocate for our students and families. This short survey will take less than 5 minutes and help us gather more detailed input on Social-Emotional Wellness, Educator Support, and School Safety. These were identified as the top priorities in our survey at the start of the school year, so we want to dive a little deeper. Your feedback is essential to shaping solutions for our schools.
Get Involved
Our group is just getting started! We’re looking for community members to join our committees and provide input for this effort. Your lived experience as a parent and member of the community is what qualifies you to join us.
You can offer help by:
Sharing what you feel CCS students need most.
Setting the direction and timeline for how we go about our work and priorities.
Identify people that can join this effort and be an ambassador within your network.
Assisting with community events.
We can also use volunteers to help with the following:
Outreach and Engagement
Connect with the community and provide updates through social media, email blasts, conversations, and events.
Volunteer Coordination
Recruit new volunteers, oversee volunteer activities, and promote opportunities for engagement.
Policy & Advocacy
Influence policy, build relationships with local and state decision-makers, and help create a unified policy agenda that moves public education forward in Charlottesville.
Fundraising
Develop fundraising strategies, identify new donors, write grants, and secure funds to help Charlottesville United achieve its goals.
Operational Support
Help answer emails, coordinate meetings, manage the website and provide general support to keep the organization organized.
