Share Your Feedback on CHS
We just wrapped up a Listening Session on the issues at Charlottesville High School (CHS). Thank you to the hundreds of people who showed up in person or joined online, to the teachers who spoke on the panel and to the students, parents and community members who spoke. We recognize that many people could not join or did not feel comfortable participating in that manner. We’ll be collecting feedback and sharing it with Superintendent Gurley, the Charlottesville City School Board and CHS leadership. Feel free to share your feedback directly with them or through our online form.
School Safety
Charlottesville City School Board has delayed making a decision on bringing Youth Resource Officers into the schools. Let us know what you think about this, and other issues.

Urge State Level Representatives to Fund Our Schools
Today, tomorrow, it is always a good time to reach out to state level representatives to encourage them to fully fund public schools. Every voice matters!

Tell City Council to Fully Fund the Reconfiguration Project
Decades of inaction have created learning gaps, unnecessary disruptions, and long-lasting inequities that affect student success inside and outside the classroom. The time to act is NOW!
Support the Sales Tax for School Construction
Today, February 25, the House Finance Subcommittee killed Senator Creigh Deeds’ bill (SB 298) that would have authorized the City of Charlottesville to ask voters via a referendum to use a local sales tax up to 1% to pay for school construction projects. We want to thank everyone who used their voice to advocate for this bill.
